Hi.

What codes are you seeing.

It is possibly worth getting the
compression of each cylinder assessed.

Not uncommon due to tbe design of this series of engine.

Check if you have compression on all cylinders (compression test)

Hi. Have you made any progress.

The seal of the multiair unit is often suspect with misfires

Ok.

So its not a common fault code.

What did the fault description say?

I am not convinced a poorly switching lambda probe can make the engine loose a cylinder..

Have you had the plugs out??

See what colour they have become

Re: Help Punto Evo 1.4 Multiair

Ok. I just googled p1062.

It is probably a manucacturer specific code.. but the ballpark appears to be valvetrain

That may well tie in with your rough running.

Have you got decent records of its oil change history.. has it had the screen filter flushed annually?

Re: Help Punto Evo 1.4 Multiair

Friend had identical problem. Cost a fortune eliminating possibilities. He has full I.C.U replacement package, unit, clocks, fusebox etc, also a faulty multiair unit which , I believe, is repairable.

It is often a gasket failure.. but due to the engine design.. this shows as a misfire.. then low compression.
