Hi can anyone help me the last few weeks my punto evo 1.4 Multiair 135bhp has started to go onto 3 cyclinders every so often then back onto to 4 the EML comes on and stays on for a while then go's of again so iv put new spark plugs in and a set of coil packs to and its still doing this any ideas whats up with it

What codes are you seeing.

It is possibly worth getting the
compression of each cylinder assessed.

Not uncommon due to tbe design of this series of engine.

it went in for mot last week and passed but emissions was all over the place the mot centre reckons its a lamdba sensor gone the code i get is P1062 cant seem to find much info on that code to be honest
 
Ok. I just googled p1062.

It is probably a manucacturer specific code.. but the ballpark appears to be valvetrain

That may well tie in with your rough running.

Have you got decent records of its oil change history.. has it had the screen filter flushed annually?

Friend had identical problem. Cost a fortune eliminating possibilities. He has full I.C.U replacement package, unit, clocks, fusebox etc, also a faulty multiair unit which , I believe, is repairable.
