When driving, my washer jets are a lot weaker compared to when I’m stationary. It’s as though the pump has less power when I’m driving so can’t force the water out as pressurised?

Not sure what’s going on. I’ve checked the lines, no kinks etc, fuse is all good, jets aren’t blocked either.

Anyone ever had a pump go bad, starting to think it’s that [emoji853] I know the electrics are said to not be the best, so maybe bad wiring?

Any advice appreciated. Thanks [emoji1360]

When you’re driving the wind will blow the washer fluid into the bottom of the windscreen, stationary then the full force of the jets will push the water higher up the screen.

The jets on mine are very strong, it may just be your pump is worn, it’s also worth checking the reservoir as mixing some types of fluid, which can happen over the years, can cause a gunk to build up in and block the pump

My brother has an Alfa mito and the jets are amazing compared to my Punto, covers the full screen even at 70.

Never thought of that, think I’ll leave my tank to empty and take a look inside. The noise of the pump also changes to a lower tone, as though it’s struggling. Maybe it’s on it’s way out, ah well, another thing to get sorted.

Cheers Andy
