My air-conditioning isn't working, there are three buttons

1) Heated rear windscreen
2) Air re circulation
3) Climate control system.

All the buttons should light up but the Air re circulation and Climate control system button does not work. We tested the fuses with a electrical tester and the fuse isn't the problem.

I would be grateful for any advice.

Many thanks

Hi, and welcome.

I've got a 2012 with climate,
and am not too sure which buttons you refer to,

the top 2 are indeed recirc and rear demist(y)

but the climate element is on the LCD dual zone display below..?

strange for the top 2 to fail together..? ,
as their functions are quite different, :chin:

I would look in the grande section Guides and FAQ's, for some basic info.. ;)

 does the dashboard fan work ..on all (4) speeds?

I'm a bit confused by the problem as you've explained it.

The three top buttons, i'm going to assume you have manually controlled air condition, not climate control, so 3 knobs and 3 buttons.

Left to right you have the rear window desist, the air con button in the middle and the recirculate button on the right.

You say the buttons all light up, and I'm assuming that you mean they light up when pushed, so they are getting a signal/sending a signal otherwise they would not light up.

So this means if i'm understanding correctly, that the air-condition is not working when you press the button.

My confusion comes with the recirculate button as its very difficult to understand how you would test if this is working.

Given that its 30+ degrees outside you definitely wouldn't get cool air in the car when driving, if taking the air from outside the car, and you can't press the button and see anything move or change when stationary.

My guess here without knowing any other information and trying to interpret what you've said is that the Aircon has stopped working and the usual and most likely cause of this, is that it needs a regas

It looks like you've had problems in this area since 2015, which would also be in keeping with the gas now all being gone.
