I'm really hoping someone will have either had the same problem as me or have a genuine fix.
I have a Fiat Punto Evo (2011), he came with two keys - a standard and a remote one. bought him back in 2014 and the remote key was working fine. went to my ex's parents and they key got accident (it really was an accident though). this happened like two years ago, so for the past two years I have been using my standard no remote key. I moved and found the remote one, gave it a clean and a new battery and as if by magic the thing was working! three days later however it stopped, I sent it off to Remote Key Repairs who diagnosed it and referrebed it. they tested it their end and it worked perfectly. however it still doesn't work on my end - I have no idea where to start looking or what to do.

I've tried changing the batteries in the key and taking the negative off the car battery and nothing, I've scoured the cars manual and on here, some of it admittedly I'm not 100% understanding.
