Recently bought a 2010 Punto Evo from a family member for my teenage son's first car and am trying to get a fault sorted before my son has the car.

The family member heater controls had an issue (not sure what) and he's super glued the knobs on so they won't turn now at all.

He's also bought a replacement unit off ebay, however the new unit has the air-con button on but the original doesn't have the A/C button.

A mechanic I spoke to thinks the A/C unit is not the same and it won't work.

The parts on the new unit are: 5G1140100 and 7355230950.

Question if anyone can help are:
1. Can anyone confirm if the unit we've got can straight swap or do we need to get a non-AC unit?

2. If I need a non-AC unit does anyone know the correct part numbers? As I always seem to only find the two the A/C unit has?

3. Can anyone recommend somebody in the Mansfield, Nottingham area that could change the units over?

Thanks in advance.

Is this the one you bought? I was watching it because my HVAC lights are dodgy and when you turn the nobs the lights all go out, but if you hit it the lights come on. It my be an easy job to just switch them over, that’s what I was going to do anyway as the wiring must be dodgy in mine.

Hope someone can help [emoji1360]

That looks similar to the unit we have but not the one he bought (he paid £50).

We've got a friend in the Netherlands that says the whole dashboard needs removing to replace it but I thought I'd read others had done it just by taking the stereo and a couple of side panels out the footwell.
