Help!

Hi, yesterday I was cleaning my engine bay, with a jet wash. ( wasn’t direct, more like misting over) and now I have multiple warning lights, got esp, Hill holder, n the engine light. Also is in limp mode. However, all the ligjts did all go off when the engine was warm! I feel like getting a mechanic with a diagnostics computer will be best bet?
Any advice would be much appreciated

Re: Help!

You got moisture in one or more connectors. If the lights went out and it drives normally they probably dried out and should be OK now.

For peace of mind you can ask your garage to take the connectors apart, clean them and reconnect them again.

You can choose to just leave it if the car acts normally and the lights go out quickly when the engine starts.

If the car acts up in the future do take it to the garage and explain what happened.

Re: Help!

WD-40 is great as a water repellant. Why not give the conectors a quick spray once they're cleaned and mostly dried off?

Re: Help!

Get under the bonnet again. Be methodical, work from one side to the other, or similar. Disconnect each connector, blow dry with a hairdryer, and reconnect. Every one!
Use a normal hairdryer, NOT a hot air gun, as that will melt stuff.
