Technical Problem with usb port

The usb port works but only plays some songs, then the buttons on the steering wheel don't work?? It also doesn't display the title of the songs or duration, why may this happen?

sounds like a fault of your car system then - but try making sure the format of the usb is FAT and not NTFS
just copy one mp3 file across - that has not been converted from another format and see how it goes
