Forgive me if im posting in wrong section.

Could someone help,I have a Punto Evo Active 10 plate ,just recently a warning triangle has appeared with start/stop innactive. After reading a few threads saying disconnect battery for 30mins to a hour which is all good advice.
My main question is about buying a new battery would it have to be a start stop battery?

If your car is a stop/start car then yes, you will have to buy a stop/start battery, either EFB or better AGM. I bought mine from Tayna online without issue

How do you tell if it's a start / stop battery?

Usually the price! Anything around the £40 range is probably wrong. S/S batteries start around £100 (you might get a deal slightly cheaper if you're lucky). I am led to believe they don't last as long neither!

As has been said it will usually state so, it may have AGM (absorbent glass mat) or EFB (enhanced flooded battery) in the description.

I also had the same issue, I’ve recently had the brake switch changed behind the pedal and the issue has stopped and all warning lights gone... maybe worth a shot? Also note I tried everything else suggested in this forum and since having the switch changed it’s fine!

I was hoping for a quick fix,ie nothing that's going to cost a lot of money
I know the battery will probably cost but anything to keep costs down.

Have just disconnected the battery for 30 mins as advised in other threads, and I'm still getting the amber triangle, engine light and stop/start innactive.
Does this mean it's new battery time?
