Hi there, I currently have a punto evo gp and the 77hp is woeful. So I'm looking at engine conversions as I've been looking and a lot of people have been saying to not really bother upgrading the current engine.

I would love an arbarth engine out of the evo but I'm struggling to find a decent one.

So now I'm thinking about a type r engine maybe a k20. Does anyone know if it will fit in with ease? Or would it take a lot of work for it to fit in? Also if anyone could let me know of any other good engines that would either fit straight in or fit in with little effort I would be great full. Thank you in advance.

Are you asking if it's easy to fit an engine from a Honda civic type r?

Yes I'm not quite sure what sort of engine I should be looking at with as little work as possible.

It is not possible to easily
Swap the engine from one manufacturer into the car of a different manufacturer.

It would be cheaper and easier to buy the Honda civic type r.

Apart from that your punto
Evo would be dangerous with a type r engine . your brakes , suspension , handling couldn't cope.
That is if you could find anyone prepared to insure you.

Not being awkward how long have you been driving for with a full licence?
Question is so can advise further.

The very reason you are asking this indeed speaks volumes, to me anyway. Not wanting to sound blunt but there are so many things/reasons that this is a non starter. Nothing is impossible of course, realistically even if this "was" possible, I'd doubt very much any insurer would give you the time of day.

HI. Any engine not currently in the FIAT range will require a LOT of work

Best bet..
Do your research..see how much to 'fast road'tune yor current engine.. then speak to your insurers about the additional premiums.

Put that 5 thousand pounds towards a better
Car.... ;)
