I have just purchased a 2011 Fiat Punto Evo 1.4 Dynamic (5d Dualogic) with S&S, the car seems to be running okay, temperature gauge is normal and the engine sounds fine. I noticed after I bought it that the heater wasn't working (fan was blowing but there was not heat). I sent it to the garage who blasted it out with water, and then it seemed to work fine. Then this morning I started it up and pulled off, as I did I heard a sound coming from the passenger side (seems low down like it's by the bottom of the door) which sounds like running water. It seems to happen when accelerating from a stop or in low gears, and not when braking. Any idea what it could be caused by, and what the fox may be?

Thanks,
Dan.

Did you get to the bottom of this?

Sounds like an air lock in the cooling system. You'll be hearing the air bubbling in the heater matrix which is in the centre tunnel.

yes - it does..,

check the coolant level NOW.. as it may well be LOW:eek:

see the GUIDES for how to bleed the air from the system..should improve heater output also(y)
