I had the check rear RHS indicator error come up on the dash last week, I had already changed the indicator bulb a few weeks before as the other had blown. Now here is where it might get confusing so I'll separate it out!

Upon inspection the bulb has not blown.

When the brake pedal is pressed, the indicator, along with the brake bulb light up quite slowly.

The indicator does not indicate when asked.

When the side lights are on and I'm indicating, the tail light indicates in place of the indicator (safety feature perhaps?)

Now, when I try to brake and indicate, the brake and indicator lights come on slowly (as before) but the tail light does not flash.

I bought the car at the very end of February and naturally, it has been days past the end of the three month warranty...
I've called the dealer and need to call again tomorrow morning to speak to the service department. So if I'm lucky, they might be nice.



If not... Anyone know a good place to get least one of the clusters (definitely the O/S)?

And does it matter if the light cluster is for a sporting model?

I'm off to France in a few weeks, so I want it sorted before then. As we know what they're like with bulbs!

The dealer are not going to cover it with the expired warranty (somewhat understandable).

I'm happy to try a replacement unit, but my main concern is if it's a problem deeper into the car.
Could this be a fuse issue?
Or the central electrical unit?
Or the wires have shorted due to the insulation melting in the glorious heat we've had recently? She sits in the sun all day at work...
