Had new cambelt and water pump at a cost of £282 all in. Not a bargain but not bad I thought.

Couple of other issues picked up. Help and advice appreciated.

Handbrake cables casings cracked and cables slightly frayed. Advised cost of replacement would be £129.

Solved issue of my loss of coolant.. losing around an inch every 1-2k. Been topping up with wilko OAT ready mixed with no issues for the last 12 months.. head test shows no issues.

Appanrlty my radiator is leaking slightly. Advised to replace cost of £280. Looked on ebay seen Oe ones for £30-£100. Not sure if suits my car? Big job to change?

Something like rad weld a good alternative?

Car is 2010 plate and has done 55k.

Thought and advice really appreciated.

RADWELD:yuck: does what it says on the tin..;) welds up the water passages,
waterpump and engine channels - only use as a "get me out of the Sahara" type last resort.

pretty sure a GP rad change will have been covered on the forum before, :)https://www.fiatforum.com/grande-punto/427683-coolant-leak-1-2-gp-radiator-2.html

can't imagine a RAD. swap is awful, as long as it's not complicated by Aircon.
