Hello all.

I need to new front discs and pads for the Punto evo sporting multiair.

Quote from dealer was £195 fitted including genuine discs and pads.

Quote from National Tyres was approx. £170 using pattern parts fitted.

Due to these prices considering sourcing parts online...

Eurocarparts have 20% off until Sunday...

Eicher discs and pads coming in at £64,38 after discount.

Pagid £92.38 after discount...

Also there are two types of front brake one with a metal bracket to push into caliper and one without... or maybe its the sensor? Bosch vs ATE system one with wear indicator one without... anyone confirm which I need?

Pagid or Eicher? Do around 8k per year and a sensible driver.

Fitting discs & pads as far as automotive jobs go is relatively easy. There is a how to guide on here. A Haynes manual is a good start. If at all handy with the spanners by the time you've done one side, the other will be a doddle.

284 vented is correct, it is worth checking part numbers I got some advertised for a 1.4 t jet, from ace car parts on eBay, 21 pounds for the front discs and 12 pounds for the pads, I appreciate you get what you pay for but several years and mots later it's all good. No lipping or excessive rusting after washing and no appreciable wear, run out test all good too. You also, out brake the abs nowadays, there was a time when the stopping power generated verses grip meant shorter stopping now just quicker juddering of the pedal. Mintex is a quality trusted part at a good price I think.

Ok folks I've done the drivers side however t30 bolts holding disc on passenger side have rounded off.

Can anyone tell me what I need to replace them is it m5 or m6?

Also any tips on removing the rounded ones?

drill the head off once head drops off the disc will pull off over the remaining stud

then grip with mole grips and unscrew them

IIRC they are M6

Well I tapped a t35 into it and it moved another few mm but now it's completely ****ed. Gonna have to get my dad to drill them out.

Question. .. I've wound the caliper pistons back in and re attached bottle to brake reservoir however I can't pump the pedal yet due to the fact I haven't fitted the passenger side disc.

Is it OK like this for a few days or will I damage anything?

Drilling out is only way..

As long as the system is sealed from air...time isnt an issue.
