Hi,

On my Punto Evo 2010 the heater Control bulbs are now dead.
I have removed the radio in order to maybe reach the bulbs from behind. But I find no way in from behind. And the Controls have wires and Cables connected.
In the attached Picture you can see how it looks with the knobs off. Are the bulbs behind the orange plastic parts? Is it possible to remove them? I have tried to pull them without success.
Do I have to take down the whole dash board?

Best regards,
/Sören

Hi Charlie,

Yes, I have compared it with Grande Punto.
But in my Punto EVO I can't remove the lower parts with the ventilation Controls. This part is in a separate section as you can see in my Picture.

I have tryed to remove some screws that holds it. But it seems to be stuck somewhere down behind. Not sure if this is the correct way to do it.

Best regards,

i did the right side one just other week there on my 2010 evo,had one of these mirrors on the end of a flexi cable thing and a pair long nose pliers,just did it from in side where stereo was,with help of mirror just pulled out bulb plug with pliers,be gentle incase ur pulling it by the wire and dont snip it,there down near the bottom i think

try flicking the black surround under the dials with ur finger as might just be element in bulbs going,this might make them light up long enough for u to see with the mirror where they are situated,know it sounds daft but one of mine would go on and off doing that,connection was fine was just the bulb,replaced it anyway and now lights up all the time

Hi all!

I have the exact problem with my 2012 Punto 1.3 Multijet. I still have 2 of the remaining 5 bulbs working and I just can't figure out where to start...

So far I was thinking that removing the stereo would help me do the job but apparently as Sören was describing, can't get the work done without removing the panel from the heater. Any advice would be much appreciated :)

not sure about ur model but best way for soren is remove stereo and cage,and come down from there with a mirror and long nose pliers

Hi,

Finally I managed to replace both bulbs. It was not easy.
After removing the radio and the frame I had to use my USB microscope together with my PC to be able to look inside.
It looked like this:
oxnk3bfwP8BUAoop+92AAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==
ndGUOzvygzEwAAAAABJRU5ErkJggg==

Now I was able to pull the wires and get the lamp out.
I looked for LED replacement without success, so I had to use the standard lamps. It will last some years. Next time I have to replace them I hope there are good LED replacement.

Hello,
I should do the same. I removed my radio and its frame. I did see the wires (with mirror) but could not get my hand in.

Did you Soren really pull the wire to get the lamp out? How did you get the lamp back? Did you use any special tools?

Any photos available?

Any other advice?

Thanks in advance!

I finally decided to get the bulbs changed at Fiat dealer as they offered to do it for 40 euros.

I asked how did they do it. Foreman said they removed radio and thru that hole they changed the bulbs. Also said it took one hour.
