Hi folks,
After days of chasing fiat, Arnold Clark and other fiat garages I thought you might have some wisdom to share!
The seat release bracket in my front driver seat has split presumably through wear and tear. Fiat and Arnold Clark have both advised the only way to get the part is through buying a new seat frame.
Has anyone had this before or know where I might be able to get the part (pictures attached)
Thanks

Hi
Out of curiosity what was the seat doing or not doing as the case may be?
I only ask as i recently had an issue with my drivers seat ...clicking and moving around as if it wasnt clicking in to the runners properly....
Back to garage twice:bang:
first time they made some adjustment and it was ok for about a week then it was back...:yuck:
second time they fitted a new seat frame and runners!:D.
cured problem got mine done under warranty;)

The short answer is nothing! The release cable connects to the bracket and when lifted turns a square bolt allowing the seat to tilt forward and slide. Since its sheared the bolt can't turn and the release and tilt mechanism doesn't work. It at least saves me having to get out the drivers seat to let passengers in! Sadly I'm out of warranty so they're asking a few hundred quid for a new seat frame!

I would drill + tap a screw through that;)

probably stronger than the original casting..,
