So i have a 1.6 diesel punto evo multijet 120hp (2012 reg) its just gone over 45k and ive noticed a bit of a judder under certain revs (hard acc or up long hills) it goes away if i drop gears and floor it but it got me abit worried. Never noticed anything else untill the other day when i noticed it smoked when this happened. Its just out of fiat warranty so hoping to do work on it myself (im a mechanical quarry engineer) after all these things its either the turbo sticking or egr related (anyone else care to shed any light?) so i was basically asking where is the egr located on these engines? I just want to clean it first and see if it makes any difference before i go spending daft money.
Its the 16valve engine.
Any other info would be great.
Thanks :)

I'm taking a guess here as nobodies replied, but EGR is the exhaust gas re-circulation valve, so I think it'll be nearer the exhaust/turbo area rather than the top area of the engine.

Hi,
Thanks for reply,
I understand the role/position of the egr in the process of the parts etc
Just my turbo is located at the front of the engine and to the left unlike the 1.9, the older 1.9 also has the egr towards the rear of the engine but again mine being the 1.6 16valve has a different layout and with all the different shapes and sizes of egr valves i was hoping somebody could give me abit of guidance (previous experience perhaps) before i start oullig bits of my car thanks again
