Hi all

My parents have a 2010 Evo. I drive it occasionally and did today.

I've thought before now when I've moved it etc that there is sometimes a smell of burning oil in the cabin.

Today I stopped on my way home from work, got back in the car started up and pulled away and there it was again.

I can't see any signs if a leak and it hasn't been serviced since the summer so can't imagine its oil burn off from an oil change. It's actually booked in tomorrow for an oil and filter change as it's always done mid service interval.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thanks

Hi
First time on the site,Have you checked the breather hose that joins the air filter to top of engine. if its split that could be your problem.
Cheers

It had an oil change last weekend and I reported the smell. They couldn't see any sign on a leak.

Check the breather hoses :)

did they change the air filter too by any chance or the spark plugs?

either forgot to put one of the 2 hoses back on , ones split or they broke the spiggot off the back of the air box for the smaller of the 2 pipes
