Yes, technically you've fitted the wrong bulbs as they should be filament bulbs, not LED

You'll need to use inline resistors like these

Should be, you'll just have the warning message remain on the dash.

he wont need those resistors as CANBUS leds already come with resistors... so he'll be fine. If he had bought cheap leds then yes errors would show up.

Re: Canbus error reg plate light

Also what are the difference between regular halogen, nightbreakers, led and then HID units?

I'd be willing to put a fiver that he will. 95% of can us error free bulbs still trigger warnings on most Fiat group cars

Halogen and night breakers are both filament bulbs, the latter normally with Xenon gas filled.

LED - light emitting diode, low energy, mainly for being seen rather than to see by, although CREE led headlights are now starting to replace HID headlights, but require the same figment requirements as HIDs (below).

HID - High Intensity Discharge lamps, basically arc lamps, hence why they're illegal to retro fit, and are normally only fitted as OEM units in projector headlights, as reflectors and refractors bounce the light scatter everywhere. Also why OEM setups are self levelling and have headlight washers.

how would I fit the resistors in the number plate light? Not sure what your bravo is like but the connector sits inside the plastic housing with the bulb, so the resistor will also have to be crammed in there?

It sits inline, so the cars connect would remain outside and the resistors connector would take its place

wait im still confused.. the white end would plug into the socket, but then where does the black end go? Does that fit into the number plate plastic housing securely?

Also im confused as to how the resistors would also work for my sidelights?
