It's my first post here and it seemed like this was the best place for solutions to my problem. I have a 2011 Fiat Punto Evo GP (my first car) and I've just had my 1300W Sub-woofer fitted today, however we've snagged a little issue because I didn't do my research beforehand and apparently it's not possible to use the factory fitted radio system and have a sub-woofer fitted at the same time, because the OEM headunit doesn't split the audio, or provide enough 'oomf' or something.
When the Subwoofer is on at the moment (and bass boosted to +6 in the menu) you can only here a very light "poof" from the subwoofer, absolutely not noticeable when driving. It's definately not the subwoofer itself because we plugged in a different head-unit for testing purposes and the bass cranked all the way up and was working perfectly (much louder than expected too).
I'm really not a technical person at all and I don't know much about cars. It'll be a shame to find out that I've wasted a decent chunk of money buying everything and it cannot be fitted on my car.
Unfortunately buying and installing one of those ugly LED car audio systems is out of the question for a variety of reasons, one being that I loose most functionality (such as Blue&Me).
Any solutions to this? I'm just looking to keep the factory OEM headunit, or buy one that looks identicle, and have great output on the subwoofer at the same time.
Thanks!
PS: Here's the link to the subwoofer that I have; [ame]http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bass-Face-POWER12-1-Subwoofer-Amplifier/dp/B008N541XQ/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1413219200&sr=8-8[/ame].
