Hey I'm new to owning a punto and my boot latch has jammed, it started a couple of days ago when it just wouldn't open after climbing into the boot I opened it using the emergency catch and when I closed it again this happened to the latch. Please help

Might be due to water ingress. Water gets in threw grommet where wiper motor goes threw rear screen to meet wiper arm. Multi plug on back of boot catch fills with water, catch also gets ingressed with water. Try clean up corroded terminals, dry out catch(might have to be replaced). Should work after that ?

I had same problem, fixed under warranty, like Goo53 said it is caused by water ingress from the wiper grommet simple fix with a kind of rubber cover put on at fiat garage. It is a known problem to fiat.
