Hi All,

I was told that not only will insurance companies never be able to find out unless it's put on a rolling road, but that my car would deal with this sort of power increase no problem. It's a 2011 Punto Evo Sporting which as standard has 135bhp and 207nm of torque with a Garret .38 Turbo.

I just wanted to hear people's opinions on whether these figures sound right and whether I should consider this as an option in the up coming few months when I'm going to have some spare cash. Or should I look into a TMC box instead? What are the pro's and con's of both options?

Also, people who have had either a remap or TMC box fitted, have you declared it to your insurance company? If so what kind of increases in premiums are involved?

Thanks, Olly.

Hello there.
I am a Punto Evo owner as well with a full first stage with the following mods.
a)custom made intake kit with DNA filter away from the engine for lower temps
b)custom 60mm exhaust from downpipe with 200 cell metallic catalyst with no mufflers
c)custom programm
My car was dynoed at 165 hp/ 265NM of torque.
I think that 280NM is somewhat difficult to be given by just a programm with no other mods.

Thanks for that info Alfacode, Really sorry about the late reply, I didn't realise anyone had replied to this thread before now!
