As the title says, how do I get more power from my 1.6 multijet sporting?
I've had it remapped already, and its running at 160bhp and 375nm torque.

The car comes with 320nm as standard... Which is ridiculously high for a small car, most beamers don't have that high torque. So I have to assume the drivetrain of the car can take a lot of straining, meaning there would be room for further power gain.

Any thoughts or ideas guys?

No it can't take a lot of straining. The M32 gear box goes pop often.

Search M32 Gearbox failure - all the Saab, Vauxhall results are relevant it's the same gear box.

Where did you get it remapped to get that much increase in power?

Also does it waste fuel?

Tango Red - Fiat Punto Evo 1.6 Multijet Turbo Diesel Sporting!

Thanks for the replies all. I had the car tune on a rolling road, can't remember the name of the place as my dad took it. I'll have to ask him later!

No it doesn't waste fuel, I'd say it uses less when drove normally. I do put my foot down a lot and still average 50mpg! I get diesel for £1 a litre too so its cheap as to run ;)

And jimbob, from what other ff members have told me.. The 2011 punto evo doesn't use the m32 gearbox, so it should be fine to get more power out provided I upgrade the clutch
