Hello All,
I have been researching on the net with no luck and was wondering if there is a uprated/aftermarket Silicone Boost Hose for my Punto sporting 135bhp?

Also I have been looking into a custom remap and so far the gain I would get would be approximately up to 160bhp. The question I have on this is would I require an uprated Intercooler or would the car be ok using the standard one?

Cheers

Alex

Hello ;)

It seem more easy to find for the Tjet, but perhaps it's the same hoses ?

Found this, double check if ok with your car :

Uprated intercooler is always a good solution with higher boost pressure.
More power is often only more boost pressure with remap, and more pressure mean more heat. More heat is less output power, and can affect life of components (engine head, to high temperature can make cracks around valves)
The only drawback (other than the price) is to choose a model not too big, more volume increase the lag of turbo.

I recently mapped my Evo to 165 hp with 255nm torque .
I have to say that
a)exhaust is needed so i can keep more power high revs.
b)intercooler is needed cause with five runs on dyno intercooler temp was high (note it's not necessary, but then you'll have to be really carefull not to push it for long time in high temps and the power output drops after constant run.

Thanks for the information. I enquired about the hose and this was for the intercooler not the boost hose. There does not seem to be one for my model. What exhaust would you recommend? Cat back? Down pipe etc.
