Hi,

Hopefully someone can help me out, I have a 2010 Punto Evo 1.4.

My central locking wasn't working right with the key fob, it worked most of the time if I held it right up to the window glass and pressed lock/unlock/open boot.

I assumed the battery was dead, so swapped it out for new one, but no change at all.

I'm worried it'll be a pricey thing to fix!!

So to recap, it works intermittently from a a meter or closer most of the time and replacing the battery in the key fob has not fixed it.

Any one seem this before or got any ideas of what would cause it???

Thanks,
Iain

you get the occasional post on here of Radio masts blocking signals.. have you tried a few parking locations..??

Grande is similar ( but a different look Key), plenty of Grande posts

or possibly post in Security..,

charlie - Oxford 2013 punto

Ok...I'll have a search.

what battery did you replace it with some of the cheaper batteries are crap from experience the 6 for £1 at poundstretcher might as well be dropped in the bin outside the shop from experience...

something like a duracel/ everready aka energiser / GP should be ok?

Hi...Sorry for the delayed response!

I did replace with a pretty cheap batter.

But after that I went to Halfords and bought some Duracell ones...still the same.

So it looks liek the battery isn't the issue.

My fob when like 6 months ago, didn't brother to change battery until last weekend and still not working for me. I think it could be a lose wire or connection in the fob itself.
