Hi, just a quick post....

I recently noticed that the small breather pipe at the rear of the air filter box was cracked, I've replaced it but when I cut the old one open there was a strange black flakey sludge in it (the pipe was completely blocked) Any ideas what it might be?

I've taken off and cleaned out the larger breather hose which looked in perfect condition externally but had quite a bit of mayo-look gunk in it...

It is a common issue nothing to worry aboit the new hoses have been modified to help prevent this issue it aroud £12 and dont be alarmed it is a slightly different shape

Hi, thanks for the reply, got the new one fitted after a bit of fiddling around - sounds daft but the engine seems to have just the tiniest bit more oomph now... Considering its the 1.2 any increase is welcome!

You'll probably find that the larger one from the cam cover is split as well, I've changed two pairs at work this last week.
