Hi would anyone know which size spark plug socket is needed for 105 multair and torque settings, this info seems relatively hard to come by
cheers
Matt
Hi, don't know for sure,
for reference;
see what NGK plug is recommended.. that should tell you thread and HEX. size,
and torque will be as for all alloy heads in the correct thread size (M10 / M12 / M14),
The spark plugs can be removed with a standard spark plug socket but the tube in the cylinder head is narrower than most engines so it will be a tight fit.
I don't know what the torque settings are but i know it is below my torque wrench's min setting. I usually put the plug in with a T handled sparkplug wrench (with a short handle to limit how much torque can be applied). When the plug is all the way and i can't move the wrench anymore without effort i then switch to a small ratchet and nip it up approx 45 degrees, no further.
I THINK the official torque setting is only 10nm but i cannot guarentee this.
