My car is a 2011 Punto Evo 1.4 8V dualogic.

The dualogic gearbox is occasionally grinding and missing gear change when are doing full throttle and shifting gears at 6000rpm. It only happens when shifting gears from 1st to 2nd, or 2nd to 3rd, full throttle, at around 6000rpm.

For example, when it happens during the gear change from 2nd to 3rd gear as shown in my video below, the gears would grind / scratch, then it will miss the gear change, and revs will shoot up to the rev limiter. Instrument display indicates gear 3 but car goes into neutral gear. I had to shift the gear stick to N and then put it back to the centre, then the car will get moving again.

My car has over 30000 miles (50000+ km) on the clock. CS Speed and gear oil 75W85 last replaced 6 months ago.

I was told this could be a clutch fork wear and tear issue, and doing an EOL calibration will probably not solve the problem. Unlikely to be worn synchro rings. But letting the gears grind and scratch repeatedly would definitely wear out the synchro rings.

Anyone experienced such issues? Any opinions on what could be wrong?

Any comments are appreciated.

Thank you.
