Bi-xenon hid conversion kit hi/low h4 6000k ac 35w

I have recently purchased a sporting and I would like to upgrade the headlights. I have seen these BI-XENON HID CONVERSION KIT HI/LOW H4 6000K AC 35W.
I was wondering if anyone on here has installed any of these or something similar?
If so, is it easy to remove the standard bulbs without having to remove lots of other parts?

Welcome to FF

Thankfully not many fit HID kits to Punto Evo's as its not only very dangerous nd inconsiderate to other road users, but also Ilegal and will cause you insurance implications.

You're far better off improving your lighting using uprated Xenon filament bulbs such as Ring Xenon Max, or Osram Nightbreaker plus units

Re: Bi-xenon hid conversion kit hi/low h4 6000k ac 35w

I had problems when I fitted a HID kit into my evo.. The stereo used to change it's source whenever I turned on the dipped beam. I guess this was due to a voltage drop that comes with the ballasts first powering up. Was a nightmare so in the end I got rid and upgraded the bulbs as mentioned above.

They're still illegal and can't defy the physics of a light beam.

Not sure what you mean by suitable for halogen headlights as this isn't the issue per say. There are 3 types of lens, reflector, refractor and projector, of which 2 will cause scatter with these illegal to use 35-70 aftermarket HID kits, regardless of what they're supposedly designed to fit. One question I ask is why the manufactures don't get them 'E' marked and type approved if they're absolutely fine and safe to use

he may be mistaking ones that come with a projector unit, I think you need to cut unit open to fit. I don't discuss the legality of them so I'll go back and hide under the desk again.

Re: Bi-xenon hid conversion kit hi/low h4 6000k ac 35w

HID conversion is the baddest thing you can do.

It will NEVER be legal, as already discussed reflector engineered for halogen bulb cant be compatible with HID.

Technically, mounting HID need changing headlight with reflector designed for, and automatic height correction is also needed.

Install good bulbs

Re: Bi-xenon hid conversion kit hi/low h4 6000k ac 35w

Whether it's legal of not, I've had them in for years, never had a problem, and even better they look great!
Now know what I'm doing, I could re install them in a few minutes! Quick and easy - besides if you were to change you're mind they're easily taken out!

Great attitude that, you wee whippersnapper!

Let's all do what we want hey, break the law left right and centre and cause the death or serious injury of someone innocent.

M20 FOO left hope you're insurance don't find a reason to want to invalidate your insurance and google your number plate. Being a cherished one also it's one you're likely to have on all of the motors you illegally modify.

Re: Bi-xenon hid conversion kit hi/low h4 6000k ac 35w

Well the OP seemed happy enough to take the constructive criticism that After market HID kits without the legally required difficult modifications / approvals, are Illegal.. Not only that they have a tendency to melt your headlamp reflectors (ive seen it at meets)

And just remember what YOUR doing If your going to resort to testing the forum swear filter i might as well shut this now before i wake up in a bad mood tomorrow morning and come to a page full of bitching and whining i might start enforcing the forums rules as regards to profanity's and disrespect towards other members....

Remember people on here have a varying roll in life ,., Some are police officers, some work in garages / MOT centres/ others work in insurance... all of them have some valuable knowledge and experience to bring to the forum..

Just because you dont like what has been written gives you no right to start throwing accusations about the place...

Just to let you know me and the other mod's do read the reports and act on them when rules are been broken...

list of which can be found here
