Hi, has anybody had a problem with a persistent clicking/tapping noise coming from the dashboard on the passenger side ?
Initially it was intermittent but is now almost permanent....
I have a Punto Evo 1.25 my life 61 plate.
Also a high pitch buzzing sound whenever I put an indicator on....
Any advice would be greatly appreciated as it's driving me nuts and I am beginning to hate my lovely Punto. Thanks

It's under warranty so return it to the dealer for them to sort

Thanks for replying....took it back to the dealers and they are saying that as I have just entered the 3rd year of Warranty a 'noise' is not covered and I will have to pay - Huge amounts!....
Tech bloke poked around under dash and managed to recreate the noise...something to do with pushing the ducting up from underneath....Now the noise is 100 times worse.
Rang them and was advised to wedge it with a car sponge......
Also told me the electrical high pitch buzz tone when indicating or have hazards on is nothing!
Is it worth contacting Fiat direct for help ?

completely agree,
if it's ONLY making the noise when the indicators "flash" then I suspect it's actually a cheap + simple fix = BUT get FIAT UK involved as the service you have ( not) received sounds awful

I had a go at trying to pull the ducting back down and the noise is as it was before the tech guy made it worse.
Rang Fiat UK and got a really sympathetic lady who has opened a case and is going to try and get it done under warranty with the garage chipping in.....(Highly unlikely!)...
if they can't get it done I've decided that I will trade in....make a loss and go back to a ford KA....Did I just hear you all scream....lol...

Trade in is a tad extreme imo, but each to their own

I have this fault, took it to a dealer and they refused to touch it even though the car is 6 month old they blamed the subwoofer wiring but that ran down the drivers side, I contacted fiat UK a month ago and still waiting for a reply so good luck hope your little beast gets better soon

Because it's under warranty and not my problem to sort, maybe FIAT should evaluate dealers attitudes before signing their franchise up
