Hello all,

What's the canbus protocol for the Fiat Punto Evo?
As I'm from Brazil and may be some differences from other countries, how can I know the protocol of my car?

The problem is: I bought an multimedia system (all-in-one, with radio, gps, dvd, tv, etc) that works perfectly in european Puntos. However, the USB is not working to me (I'm from Brazil), other stuff like bluetooth hands free, voice command, etc is working fine. The problem is only with the b&m USB.
Talking with the manufacturer, we tried to test everything from the USB stick to an updated canbus that they sent to me, but nothing worked.
As the b&m is worldwide (the same for every place in the world) and it works in europe, we think that this is not the problem.
The last question I got from them was "Maybe we have problems with canbus, not sure now. Could you try to get the original protocols?"
So, I'm trying to find what the "original protocols" are and how to get them.

Sometimes all of the systems need to sync including b&m. When I have this problem I disconnect the battery for 10 minutes and try again, but I guess you did that already!

Does that really work?
Do you have the same problem eventually? I mean, the bluetooth hands free and voice commands keep working while USB music doesn't?

Yes the Blue and me unit uses microsoft windows... Try taking the negative terminal of the battery off for 30 mins to reset the unit.. like a house hold PC turn it off and on again by pulling the power fixes most things


Is your Mileage flashing? If so this will indicate a CAN error.

I did that but it didn't work.
I'm not sure if the reset was complete too. After connecting back the negative terminal, the b&m came back with the same configuration. I mean, the bluetooth was already paired, contacts were there, etc... it seems that only clock and date had the reset done.
Is that ok?

Mileage is not flashing.
