Laying on my back at the rear of the Punto, I cant seem to grasp where the fixing points are for a tow bar.
The instructions (att instructions.jpg) state " insert the side arms into the ends of the vehicle frame and attach...."

Look at strut1.jpg a view under the car
I assume point "a" is where the support bar goes though, but holes "b" and "c" are enclosed on the other three sides. So how can you get a bolt into this hole
Also they are not threaded and of course the wrong shape for a bolt

The other side is Strut2.jpg
On the same chassis support is the rear bracket for the exhaust, so thats looks impossible to take this side arm

Any advice would certainly be appreciated because I am totally bewildered

remove bumper

remove rear impact beam...... this frees up the mounting points for 4 of the 6 fixing bolts / nuts (2 are studs in the body work from memory)

the arms bolt even further forward on the car than your picture shows..

the bolts into the chassis legs go into the brackets threaded holes

YOU MUST USE A 7 WAY BYPASS RELAY DUE TO THE CANBUS CONTROLED LED REAR REAR SIDE LIGHTS (they are commanded by a pulsed signal)
