Hi,

My Punto Evo 1.4 Multiair is due a service soon.

Its 3 years old in October.

It was ex demo so its first service was a low mileage one in Aug 2011 at 7700.

Its now due a second service at 25,000 miles.

Local Fiat Dealer (Vospers Exeter) want £420. Claim its due to brake fluid change.

Is this an fair price?

Sound to me you have not been keeping up with the service on this car. It needs a full service which includes spark plug change every year or 18k your car by sounds of it is nearly 3 years old and has only had a oil service.

All a low miles service is a oil and oil filter change. My 6 month old multair has already had oil and filter plus air filter will be doing this inbetween the main services only cost me 70 for this as supplied parts.

Shop around for service the 2nd year is a big service will be over 300 everywhere.

Mine is 2 years or 18k. So it has been kept with the schedule.

But thanks for the feedback on price.

Do you have a list in what they did in the first service. You would have trouble getting any warranty work done as you may have missed the 18k service.

I did not arrange the service it was done by the dealer before I purchased it so I have no record.

The book is ticked as Oil/Oil filter change and also the service option is ticked, with the words low mileage added.

I've stupidly it seems been going by the onboard computer as when I purchased it, it told me I had 2 years and 18k miles before a service.

I can understand that Fiat should be more clear. I am just going over the top with my service having oil change every 6k just its my first brand new car and want to keep it running as best I can.

As your coming to the end of the warranty period I would get the service done else where at a garage you can trust of course. Making sure they use correct oil and plugs.
