Also adding to illegal lights etc. LED lights apparently are illegal, however as standard my car has front and back LEDs as well as the majority of new cars.. I think it's just one if those grey areas, for now..

Your evo has rear LED lights yes but not the front as standard.. standard bulb fitment at the front are H4 501 h12 and p21 (pin offset) and the DRL (which number escapes me at the moment) fillament lamps .
LED lights are not permitted under uk RVLR HOWEVER The Itallian law / Type approval permits them in Italy Been a European car they are legal in the uk under the EEC Homologation ruling.... and subsequently carry the (e) mark relevant to the testing and inspection
