Technical Service Costs

I have a 2011 Punto evo bought from stoneacre (dont ask worst decision ever) besides that the first service at 6000 was £120, they phoned me up the other week for the second service and i have done 12500 they quoted £279, there was no chance me paying this for a second year service so with negotiation and basically ignoring them for a week they came back with £165 just wondering what other people thought and how much theirs was?

My car was brand new in jan 2012 and was told only needed a service at 18000 miles.Just had a service £281 all in. Dont need another one till another 18000 miles.

I spoke to SG petch in York and was told the same as twobigdogs


it needs a service every 2 years or 18k miles Since in the first year i had a Minor service by stoneacre i was fine into my 3rd year as long as i do not hit 18k miles ((if i do i will need it servicing for the remaining couple of months to be valid)))

Nothing stopping you having it serviced ahem using Genuine fiat parts at a VAT registered garage and not telling them how would they find out :devil:
