Posts: 1 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | HELP and ADVICE NEEDED for dipped headlamp bulbs I have seen a set of HID style bulbs 80w H4 in halfords for £16 per bulb. They fit into the standard bulb unit. I was wondering with the greater output would that mean I'd have to do any additional work other than just fitting the bulbs I.e fuses and that. I'm looking for bright light as possible with a decent blue tint so it looks like a HID look on my car any recommendations for bulbs aswell. Your comments will be appreciated Thanks

![]() | Re: HELP and ADVICE NEEDED for dipped headlamp bulbs take great care with heavy blue tinted bulbs even at the standard 55-60w burn hotter at the glass due to the blue filter accumulating heat due to its filtration quality example stand in the sun with a black t shirt what happens? then try it again in a white shirt.... bad example but i hope you see the point By filtering the light you absorb some of the spectrum which escapes as heat.... The gp and evo are very easy to damage the reflector so extra wattage is a bad idea.... I put some osram w5w cool blue side lights in over Christmas within 30 mins there was the first sign of heat damage i swapped back to oem...... The nightbreaker plus bulbs have been fine so far
