Does anyone else seem to have a problem with opening the rear doors on theyre evo as my wife always seems to struggle and every now and again i do to, i generally find lifting up instead of pulling the handle towards me works but is this normal or is it broke??

Erm, well they're not bravo handles where they pull out, you need to pull them up, but if it has been getting progressively worse it may need the rod (I think its a rod anyway) adjusted so it releases the door catch earlier.

well whatever it is, its getting worse now sometimes when i shut the door it sometimes bounces back at me as if the seatbelts in the way so off back to the dealer only about 6mths left on warranty so getting all the niggles sorted sooner rather than later :) its also developed a rough idle too...

The problem is a lever inside the door that seize. The door handle push this lever, which act the lock via a cable.

If the plastic lever seize on his axis, the lock remains open in the same way if you keep pulling handle up.

If you are under warranty ask you dealer what it has done and keep us informed :)

You welcome ;)

The one I repared it was hard to unseize it. I started as you, with wd40, than played with the lever back and forth. Then I added motor oil, and finaly grease.
In my opinion the play between the lever and his axis is too low, and with humidity this can cause seizure.

I found a old picture : (not this one I repared, this is original grease)
