Evening, does anyone know if the seatbelts in the Punto Evo (60 plate) are covered by manufacturers warranty? I've had the car since Sept 2010, bought new...

I came out of work last night and the drivers seatbelt is jammed, can't release it at all...

depends on the fault (cause) so you will need to let dealer have a look at it.

thanks apparently the pretensioners have fired. Going in to get a proper look tomorrow, no idea for what reason it's happened, I can barely put petrol in never mind anything technical /

the pretensioners are fired during a small bump, not enough to fire the airbags, have you had a dunt recently?

No bumps at all, just ordinary driving. Parked the car in the works garage (nightshift so no one else was in) then it had jammed when I went to go home.

Just in case anyone else has the same problem...it's been a fault in the seatbelt system and will be repaired under warranty. It's a problem Fiat are aware of and requires a new seatbelt etc to be fitted. Parts out of stock in the UK due to demand and are being brought over from factory in Italy next week sometime
