If planning on buying a new (second hand car) Before parting with your hard earned brass GET IT CHECKED OUT....

come across one on the dreaded bay of e ok they say its had a new bonnet and bumper in the advert but knowing the car a little lets you into a whole new world of what to look for......

but lets play a little fun game of spot the faults (click to enlarge) :)

That Earth lead would send me running to start with

Along with the damaged light tang - it starts saying somebody has crashed it
The battery means they've had troubles and or remove it regulary for some bizarre reason and put a odd easy release on it yes....

I'd be very quick to slam the price or walk away

Ziggy

judging by the "new" earth strap i bet the old / original battery was damaged........

Sadly there are a lot of people who know nothing about cars How often on here do you see people asking basic weekly check type questions? this is no slur on them for asking but more a heads up to take someone with you before you hand over your monies :)

People get new car blinkers on i looked at a evo before this one but the test drive there was something amiss having driven a "straight" GP for about 5 years it drove worse than mine..... Took a mate with me after garage hours first thing he saw was the evidence of a respray which i had failed to spot yet it jumped out at you once you had seen it.... fresh set of eyes and all that ;)

Anyone got a pic of the quick release earth cable out of a car? Is it just the quick release the cable and a spade on the end? id like one for my Bravo.

Before i accidently read andys results i got;

Broken passenger headlight fixing
No drivers wing or damaged
A loose hydraulic or aircon pipe in the bottom of the engine bay (far side of pic)
I think the drivers side chasis leg and inner wing are bent?
Strange earth business
