Hello from a new EVO owner, 2012 1.6D Sporting
Got this mainly for wife but have driven it a few times myself now. Already got rid of the standard yellow candle power bulbs and put in some Phillips + 100% plus Xenon DRL and side lights, this is a must but not as easy as it should be!
Loving the 320Nm of Torque and six speed for easy high speed motorway work, plus the sunroof, stereo/subwoofer & option alloys. Not loving how high the driver seat is even when adjusted fully down plus apparently no height adjustment of the passenger seat meaning I have to recline it when the Mrs is driving! Have I missed something here? I'm only 6ft so no freak of nature! Do I really have to look into lower seatrails etc.
Quite surprised to see it has the same tyres as the 2002 Civictype R I had (Bridgestone RE050's 205/45 R17), unfortunately the suspension and steering settings are far away from being “sporting IMO so its more of cruiser with good gripy tyres.
Overall I like it a lot and it full fills our requirements forsomething economical with a bit of punch and all the toys.
I see Angel tuning say they can provide another 40BHP, will wait awhile before looking into this fully but ask if anyone has chipped the 1.6 MJTD and what the results were like, maybe a Bravo or MiTohas been done?
