Ive just got a kerbed alloy repaired, it's the standard grey 17" sporting evo alloys on my car. They said the colour wasn't gun metal and a very strange colour because it wasn't very glossy, he talked about satin paint and so on and suggested repairing and respraying all my alloys a glossy black to go with my roof... I thought they were just trying to get money out of me so I told them to go ahead with the repair and make it as close as possible to the original fiat colour. They repaired it but the colour is slightly darker than the rest of my alloys now, Does anyone have any knowledge of the colour of the fiat alloys and how or where I can get it re-sprayed the correct colour, It's killing me knowing it's different...

Can't they/you take a rim to a paint supplier (or even Halfrauds) and get the colour scanned so they'll make up a can to that colour.

Can you actually imagine going into halfrauds with a wheel

Anyway, Gloss black on white wouldn't be bad, but I'm more of a fan of anthracite on white cars :) Or even, if you can find it, Silver Ice (Chevrolet Camaro SS).

I think anthracite is the colour they have did to my current alloy... It is quite nice, what sort of colour is the esseesse wheels on this in your opinion scoop?

Also personally I prefer the sort of colour you are talking of but I think because of my black roof, blacked windows and will get black wing mirror covers, might look good!

You just have to be careful you don't have TOO much black, its the same as doing any car (or object for that matter) two colours, always keep a primary colour and not over do the secondary colour. The essesse wheels are a hard colour to shout, I'd say its a light anthracite but not too sure, would need to see them in proper light for a better description.

what u recon to this lil adjustment to my punto.. i was just playin round with paint..:confused:

In the end got them all re-sprayed the same colour, an anthracite gloss colour, they look really shiny which helps make them look a lil less dark, look great, very happy with the finished product!

Its the fancy panoramic window is it not???

And its up to you whether you get it painted (Better for gloss finish) or vinyl'd (Better for temporary colour changes)
but then i cant see out the glass lol. it seems a lil pointless to get the sunroof as an extra then paint over it lol would u not agree
