Anyone know what inside temp the aircon should pump out?Hot day today 21 degrees outside.....inside with maximum cold setting and recirc on and max fan speed and my hand held thermometer was reading 6 degrees in front of centre vents. Its cold but I thought it should be a bit colder?

Thanks for that.It was just my old Ford use to almost freeze the screen. This is the first new car I have owned and was not sure if it was right.

Because of the way car aircon works 15degrees C below ambient external temperature is considered to be standard (which yours is bang on) the hotter it gets the more efficient it will become and the lower the temp the less efficient.

I've had fords which will cause condensation to form on the out side of the glass because of how cold the air con is, but stick a temperature probe in and it's still only about 15 degrees difference.

The thing to remember is that most fridges operate at about 5degrees so your aircon is about as cold as an average fridge
