Hello ....

I'm from Greece, few months now i have bought the Punto EVO Racing 1.4 Multiair. 105 PS.
Really nice car,i like it.

I want to put , USB Cable-Adaptor , to my system , and after to change a few things , more. Like amp,woofer and so on.

But for now, because i have talked about the warrantly of my car , they don't allow me to change the ICE (CD Player) of the car... I wanted to put a Pioneer 8300 . But nevermind.

They told me that i can buy a cable for 160 € , and i can connect ONLY IPOD.

So , i don't like this idea. To put only Ipod , because i don't have one.

So... what is the sollution , about an adaptor ?
Any suggestions ?

I asked about changing the headunit as well & I was told that there are 2 many other systems linked to the headunit area that is is not worth the bother, unless you want to pay ££££ to get a custom area done of the dash.

Does your car have blue and me? If you you can just plug an USB memory stick into the USB port.

If you don't have blue and me, then I am sorry but it is a much bigger job. Replacing the head unit would be the simplest way to go.
 
No i don't have Blue&Me.

Yeah, but the told me from the FIAT Company of Athens which had an e-mail direct from ITALIA.

That if i change the Head Unit and put something else , like Pioneer DEH8300 . Or something else different from the Head unit of the Manufacter, then i will LOSE All my Warrantly of the car , from the Electronics to the main body aka Machine.

So... i can't do anything i still have 6 years of warrantly.
 
Hmmm. That doesn't sound right. I don't see how a radio will affect the rest of the warranty.

The radio is only connected through the CAN bus. The radio could be removed and the CAN bus reprogrammed not to expect the radio.

I guess you only have 2 other options:
1 - Pay the dealer to fit a new radio
2 - Use a FM transmitter.
