I’ve had my Punto Evo for nearly a year now and love it, have had no problems at all until… I tried to open the spring-mounted door of the small cubby – above the air vents on the central console (next to where you attach your Tomtom) – and it wouldn’t open. I did manage eventually to get it open whereupon I found that a bit of the plastic mounting had snapped off. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if anyone knows whether Fiat will fix it under warranty?

They may not take it very seriously but if you stress that it was not from anything you have done I don't see why they wouldn't fix it it is hardly gonna be a big job. Your dealer should do it out of courtesy despite what the warranty says anyway.

My Evo is 18 months old i had the same problem about 4 months ago. Took it back to the dealer they ordered new parts and fitted them under warranty.

This happened to several people who were first to take delivery of the Evo. Think it's fair to say it's one of very few common problems on the Evo, it seems largely pretty good.

I also don't recall anyone having problems with getting the cubby replaced/repaired under warranty either, and since the parts are likely to be very cheap, i'd expect Fiat to still repair it under warranty even after a year of use.
