Hi,

I've had my punto evo about a year and 3 months now.
Lovely car imho but as everything isn't perfect I've had this quite annoying problem lately.
I had my radio programmed to different stations I like in the beginning, one day i started my engine and all the presets were wiped. "Odd" is all i could say at first and reprogrammed them. had that problem 2 times again afterwards but the stations weren't wiped, they jumped back to a previous setting.
(for example: if i started with 1. radio 1, 2. radio 2 and 3. radio 3. it wiped it then i programmed 1. radio 4, 2. radio 5 and 3. radio 6. what would happen after the second time is it jumps from the 2nd series back to the 1st series)

The past two months i've had this 2 or 3 (last of which was this week) times now and it's bugging me quite hard as everytime i spend some time looking for the stations i want.
Is this a technical problem that you have had as well or is it just me?
what to do with this?

Thanks in advance

Solo

Update: I've just updatet to blue&me 5.5 and it switched back to the radio stations before the last "change"

not much you can do, personally take it back to fiat and explain, only issue is they probably wont be able to fault the system as its an intermittant fault. go in and moan get them to change all the stations to what you say etc or confirm whats already set and then go bk when it fails again. thats all you can do.

all i can think is that somehow the radio module is losing power and losing memory how i have no idea.

Well to take it to the dealer for this problem is not something i would do (dealer is 20 miles from here) So i'll just wait and see what the new update of blue&me did for it (so far so good)
I did have another issue since the update though. I would be cruising along listening to a radio station when it just all of suddens chooses to say "nope i'm bored of this one, let's pick another one". well nothing a slam on the preset button won't fix but it is kind of like "what the ****?"

Sounds like you may have auto frequecy (AF) or traffic announcements (TA) turned on.

true, but sometimes it just switches to another one that isn't broadcasting TA at that moment. I'll try it with TA off next time, see what it does then, thanks for the tip!

if its the same "fault" that i had the radio has 3 sets of presets, it depends on how many times you push the FM button, i had a problem of the presets resetting went to the dealer and they said that if you push the fm button more than once it goes to the next selection, there are 18 presets in total.
hope this helps ;)

Hmm that could explain it. Everytime TA comes on I bash the FM or media button when I don't need it. I'll look into it :) thanks!

I checked last night and you were right!! Wow I've looked quite good through the booklets of the car when I first went to pick it up but missed that part :D thank you so much! :D
