I have recently purchased some Mtec DRL's for my Punto Evo but I can't seem to get the buld out from the holder. It says push in and turn anti clock wise which I have been doing but I still can not seem to get it off. Also on the Passangers side it looks very awquard to remove the holder?

Any Help and tips welcome!

twist it some more had the same on the last gp one of the indicator bulbs had come out of its correct position and took some force to remove just watch you dont crush the bulb in your fingers

the passenger side one might be easier to take the arch liner blanking plate out and go in from there

Thanks for the tips. After being out in the rain for some time I did manage to get them both out. The passanger one took some time to get back in but all working now. I am very happy with the results and they now look 100 times better! :D

Yep :( the mtec bulbs toasted one of my headlights, melted away plastic & turned the lense misty.

however, the other headlight was perfectly fine.... Still feel the urge to put them in every time I see the "yellow" stock bulbs reflecting back at me off the car in front

But i'm still weary about putting them back in, haven't seen any alternatives yet so i might crack :bang:

I am going to give them a go and just have them on short journery atm then after a little while will keep them on all the time. Do you know what I should look out for the first signs of this happening?

Thankfully mine have been fine and I’ve had them in from almost day one.
The only other bulb that I think might be a possibility is made by PIAA.
That appears to be what the Fiat 500 owners seem to use although it is a slightly higher wattage (I think).

Just look around the bulb fitting for any signs of discolour / warping or anything that looks off.... Ultimately misting in the lense, but by then its too late.

If you want to be really careful take the bulb out after 1000 miles and check the holes still perfectly round and not discoloured or scorched.

But just so you know, I replaced the stock drl bulb and took it back to dealership...they replaced the headlight free of charge, no problems, but they did say it's not a problem they've had on the evo before. - So its not the end of the world.

Hmm, higher wattage = more heat, don't think i want to take that route either :p
I might go back to my mtec's and just keep a really close eye on it.
