went to look at this tonight and had a test drive and then took an impartial mate whos as bad as me for defects....

3 main things i/ we came across

had a full rear drivers side 1/4 respray and badly at that masking lines can be seen in various places and gray primer all over rear light cluster

tracking is out a mile

and the gear box isn't happy going into second......




that and the servo plate is showing signs of corrosion

looks like an oil leak from round the crank pulley

sounds to me that the car has had a prang, at £8000, active is alot aswell, esp. if it isnt no good. i have basicly the same car (engine) and mine is ok goin into second. am guessin that it has had an accident that hasn't been reported, so best bet is to walk away from it. there is always plenty more cars out there, so if your not happy dont part with your hard earned cash.

dont worry i have no intention on parting with my money on that one found higher spec pre reg cars for the same money at a different branch in the same chain least i have his part ex value to argue on
