General whats the button on the dashboard for?

if i push it, it seems to have a big spring under it and it boings back up again. we can't seem to find what it actually does

It's the button for the passenger ejector seat. Only works when the passenger isn't wearing seat belt and when the beeping noise goes off when you start driving.
