The reason behind that however was that it was not a new car and Fiat had only recently changed the spec to include those features. If you have just bought a BRAND NEW car then it should certainly be fitted with them at least to my knowledge and according to the Fiat site. https://www.fiatforum.com/punto-evo/...vo-carful.html

So if its a brand new 11 plate & it doesn't have it you can most assuredly go back and kick some ass. Also, it'd be worth checking under the bonnet to see if the ESP unit is there just to see weather a button is missing or the whole thing.

I,m looking at the various labels in the engine compartment and it looks like this car is over a year old! In the March 2010 version of the brochure the esp/asr/hill holder are listed as options whereas now they are standard. I'm trying to find out the build date of the car as I don't think it is "as described" in the current brochure and on the Fiat website. Cheers. Chris K.

I'm still trying to find out the build date. The dealer are supposed to let me know tomorrow. I've tried to get it through eper but couldn't make it work. Thanks though.Chris.

Everything points towards this car being more than a year old. I don't want to be paying full price for a car which isn't as described in all their brochures. Thanks again. Chris.

Can't remember if the input was on the headunit itself or down next to the USB though, but I certainly looked around them and thought damn, they all have 3.5mm jacks now! Though you've definitely got a valid argument as it is, its in the sales pitch, its on the website... It should be there.
