Hello.

My evo 1.3 jtd has the tpms system build in.
I never wanted that but it was a mistake of the dealer.
Now i want to buy a set of alloy wheels for the summer tires.
So i need a extra set of sensors, they are quit expensive.
Now someone told me, just put on the wheels without the sensors, and the system will see understand that there are no sensors and after a few miles the waring light will go out.

Does anyone has any experience with that.

I didn't think wheel size had anything to do with it.

Say you had a puncture and replaced the tyre, you then reset the monitor, the sensor measures wheel rotation, has has a new base reading, then if the tyre deflates the rotation measurement is different and the sensors kicks in.

I'm sure someone will come along to either confirm or correct this.

I have my new wheels, without the tpms sensors.
There was no problem, the warning light never came on.

I wonder if this works on the bravo 1 of my sensor is buggered I think pumped tyre above the stated pressure still says low pressure and I don't fancy paying £70 for a sensors aa I'm selling car any ideas
